(3317) Paris is an asteroid that is part of the Jupiter Trojan asteroids and was discovered on May 26, 1984 by Eugene Merle Shoemaker and Carolyn Jean S. Shoemaker from the Mount Observatory Palomar, United States.

Designation and name

Paris was originally designated as 1984 KF. Later, in 1985, he named himself after Paris, a character from Greek mythology.
