(32) Pomona is an asteroid that is part of the asteroid belt and was discovered by Hermann Mayer Salomon Goldschmidt from Paris, France, on October 26, 1854. It is named for Pomona, a goddess of Roman mythology.

Orbital characteristics

Pomona orbits at an average distance from the Sun of 2,587 AU, being able to get as close as 2.38 AU and as far as 2,795 AU. The eccentricity of it is 0.08016 and the orbital inclination 5.524°. It takes 1520 days to complete one orbit around the Sun.
