30 (XXX) was a common year beginning on a Sunday of the Julian calendar, in effect on that date. In the Roman Empire, it was known as the Year of the Consulate of Vinicius and Longinus (or less frequently, year 783 Ab urbe condita). The designation 30 for this year has been used since the early medieval period, when the A.D. era became the prevalent European method of naming years.
