Contenido (2278) Götz is an asteroid belonging to the asteroid belt discovered by Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth on April 7, 1953 from the Heidelberg-Königstuhl Observatory, Germany.
Designation and name
Götz was initially designated 1953 GE. Later, in 1991, it was named in honor of the German astronomer Paul Götz (1883-1962).
