213 (band)
213 was a rap group from Long Beach, California, composed of Nate Dogg, Warren G (stepbrother of producer Dr. Dre) and Snoop Dogg (Nate's cousin). In principle, Nate Dogg's cousin, Lil' 1/2 Dead, was part of the group. The name 213 comes from the Long Beach area code, which is the same (later became 562).
Biography
The careers of the members of 213 skyrocketed before they could record an album together, but the group still did not disband despite selling more than 25 million albums as solo artists.
Throughout their careers they have collaborated with each other numerous times, generally on their albums but without ever making a definitive leap.
Finally, in 2004, they reunited to release The Hard Way, the group's debut album despite having been together for more than 10 years. The album reached number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart. The single 'Groupie Luv' stood out, the video for the song is filmed in Snoop's real mansion.
In 2009 they signed a contract with Priority Records. Already in 2010 the group agreed and agreed to record a new album.
Nate Dogg died on March 15, 2011, due to a stroke, so the group is dissolved and the album they had planned for 2012 is cancelled.
