(2106) Hugo is an asteroid belonging to the asteroid belt discovered on October 21, 1936 by Margueritte Laugier from the Nice Observatory, France.

Designation and name

Hugo was originally designated 1936 UF. It was later named after the French writer Victor Hugo (1802-1885).

Orbital characteristics

Hugo is located at an average distance from the Sun of 2,703 ua, being able to move away up to 2,967 ua and approach up to 2,439 ua. Its orbital inclination is 8.031° and eccentricity 0.0977. It takes 1623 days to complete one orbit around the Sun.
