- In Constantinople (current Istanbul in Turkey), Mark I happens to Olympian as the patriarch of Constantinople.

- In Mecca (Arabia), the first testimonies of the cult of the Hubal god are recorded among the Nebateans. His magnificent statue will be destroyed by Mohammed in 630.
- In the battle of Xiapi (China), the warlord Cao Cao defeats Lü Bu and takes him prisoner. (In February of the following year he will send him to hang and send his head decapitated to his city).
