(193) Ambrosia is an asteroid that forms part of the asteroid belt and was discovered by Jérôme Eugène Coggia on February 28, 1879 from the observatory in Marseille, France. It is named for ambrosia, the food of the gods in Greek mythology.

Orbital characteristics

Ambrosia orbits at an average distance of 2,601 AU from the Sun, and can be as far away as 3,372 AU. The orbital inclination of it is 12.01° and the eccentricity 0.2967. It takes 1532 days to complete one orbit around the Sun.
