Contenido The year 186 (CLXXXVI) was a common year beginning on a Saturday of the Julian calendar, in force on that date.
In the Roman Empire the year was named the year of the consulate of Aurelius and Glabrion, or less frequently, as 939 ab urbe condita, being its denomination as 186 at the beginning of the Middle Ages, when the anno Domini was established.
Events
- In Italy there is a meteorological phenomenon that will describe years later the Herodian historian (178-252) in Rome. It could coincide with the phenomenon described in the fifth century by the writer Fan Ye (successed several centuries ago in China) and that could be due to the explosion of the Taupo Volcano in New Zealand, which was the most violent eruption of the last 5000 years.
Births
- April 4th: Caracalla, future emperor of Rome.
Deaths
- Apolonio, Christian apologist.
