  • Pound sterling (using "£")
    • £sd referred to the system used in the United Kingdom (up to 1971) and in much of the British and Commonwealth Empire.
  • Italian lira (using Pound, already disused because of the euro)

In mathematics, the symbol is used for the Laplace transform.
