(117) Lomia is an asteroid belonging to the asteroid belt discovered by Alphonse Louis Nicolas Borrelly on September 12, 1871 from the observatory in Marseille, France. It is named after Lamia, a character from Greek mythology. Lomia is possibly the result of a misspelling of the original name.
