(107) Camilla is an asteroid belonging to the outer asteroid belt discovered on November 17, 1868 by Norman Robert Pogson from the Madras Observatory, India. It is named after Camilla, a character from Roman mythology.

Orbital characteristics

Camilla orbits at an average distance from the Sun of 3.487 ua, being able to move away up to 3.72 ua and approach up to 3.255 ua. She has an orbital inclination of 10° and an eccentricity of 0.06664. It takes 2,379 days to complete one orbit around the Sun.

On March 1, 2001, in images taken with Hubble, it was discovered that Camilla has a satellite that has been given the provisional designation of S/2001 (107) 1.
