(1010) Marlene is an asteroid that is part of the asteroid belt and was discovered by Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth on November 12, 1923 from the Heidelberg-Königstuhl observatory, Germany.

Designation and name

Marlene was originally designated as 1923 PF. It was later named in honor of the German actress Marlene Dietrich (1901-1992).

Orbital characteristics

Marlene is located at an average distance of 2,932 ua from the Sun, being able to get as close as 2,637 ua and as far away as 3,228 ua. It has an orbital inclination of 3.911° and an eccentricity of 0.1006. It takes 1,834 days to complete one orbit around the Sun.
