(1002) Olbersia is an asteroid belonging to the asteroid belt discovered on August 15, 1923 by Vladimir Aleksándrovich Albitski from the Simeiz observatory in Crimea. It is named after Heinrich Olbers, a German physician and astronomer of the 18th and 19th centuries.
