In Japanese writing, syllabic characters (or, with more property, moraic) へ (Hiragana) and ヘ (Katakana) occupy the 29th place in the system Modern Alphabetical Planning Gojūon (五十 音), between ふ and ほ; and the sixth in the Iroha poem, between ほ and と. In the table to the right, which follows the order Gojūon (by columns, and from right to left), is located in the sixth column (は は, " column ha ") and the fourth row (え え 段 段 段 段 段 段 段 え 段 え え え 段 段 段 え え え え, " row E ").
When it is particle, it is pronounced " e ".
both へ and ヘ come from Kanji 部.
can carry the Dakuten diacritical sign: べ, ベ; as well as the Handakuten: ぺ, ペ.
Romanization
according to Hepburn, Kunrei-Shik and Nihon-Shik Romanization systems:

The character へ is written with a single stroke. It is a straight line that is divided into a first ascending section and a second and longer descending section.
