Sampi (case,, tiny;; epigraphic archaic form (jónica): Ͳ) is an obsolete letter of the Greek alphabet. This lyrics were used as alphabetic letters in some of the iconic dialects of ancient Greek. Its phenomatic value was [ts] or [ss]. It remained in use as numeral in the Greek numeration. The name "sampi" seems to proceed from [o]sàn pî: "as pi", since its Byzantine form ()) was similar to that of a pi italics (π)
