AnimeFest es una convención anual de anime de cuatro días de duración que se celebra durante el mes de agosto en el Hotel Loews Arlington en Arlington, Texas.

Programación

La convención generalmente ofrece una muestra de arte, sesiones de autógrafos, concursos de cosplay, sala de distribuidores, juegos y un baile de máscaras.

Historia

En 2012, la convención se trasladó del Hyatt Regency Dallas al Sheraton Dallas Downtown Hotel. A-Kon también utilizó el mismo hotel en 2012. El AnimeFest de 2017 tuvo problemas con sus filas de autógrafos. El AnimeFest de 2020 se canceló debido a la pandemia de COVID-19. El AnimeFest de 2021 se canceló inicialmente debido a la pandemia de COVID-19 y se realizó un evento en línea en su lugar. La convención luego realizaría un evento en diciembre de 2021. El AnimeFest realizó su último evento completo en 2024, y los eventos futuros planificados serán más pequeños.
