Competencia de patinaje
El Campeonato de Patinaje Artístico de EE. UU. de 2001 se celebró del 14 al 21 de enero de 2001 en el FleetCenter de Boston, Massachusetts. Se entregaron medallas en cuatro colores: oro (primero), plata (segundo), bronce (tercero) y peltre (cuarto) en cuatro disciplinas: individual masculino, individual femenino, patinaje por parejas y danza sobre hielo, en tres niveles: sénior, júnior y novato.El evento se utilizó para determinar los equipos estadounidenses que participarían en los Campeonatos Mundiales de 2001, los Campeonatos de los Cuatro Continentes de 2001 y los Campeonatos Mundiales Juveniles de 2001.
Notas de la competencia
- Frank Carroll entrenó tanto a los campeones de hombres y mujeres mayores, la primera vez que un entrenador entrenó a dos campeones mayores desde que Richard Callaghan lo hizo en 1997 con Tara Lipinski y Todd Eldredge. Eldredge puso el segundo aquí.
- El equipo de pares hermanos Danielle Hartsell / Steve Hartsell casi se vio obligado a retirarse antes del evento después de caer en su cabeza durante la práctica. Requirió 12 puntos, pero continuaron para ganar el programa corto y la medalla de bronce en general.
