Todos los determinantes tienen en común que sirven para dos cosas, referirnos al objeto, y darle una cantidad, por ejemplo:
Where’s the newspaper?
It’s on my sofa
Have you seen some MP3 player anywhere?

En inglés existen cinco (5) clases de determinantes:

Éstos sirven para señalar si conocemos o no al objeto del cual hablamos y son o determinados o indeterminados.
