Por: Anavitarte, E. J.*

Descriptive statistics constitutes a whole area of statistical analysis whose focus in the analysis of existing data, that is mean, the statistical processing of information from the time of analysis unto the past.

Hence, this area of statistical analysis does not intend to provide any information on the probabilities of occurrence of a certain future event, but simply to show statistical variables present in a population in an orderly manner.

The purpose of descriptive analysis is to facilitate the presentation of data, and allow to know the state of affairs in a certain population group. In English they may be referred to as both: descriptive statistics or descriptive analysis.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.
